Biometrics At Disney World- CJ Greenstein Computer Science Project

CJ/Solo Wireless Networking Project

Easysite- Web 2.0 tools

overview of thoughts
I thought it was very easy to use, and easy to customize however there were not a lot of customization features.  However, it was very understandable.

Ruby Programming Language
CJ Greenstein

What it is:
Ruby is an object interactive programming language used for making interactive websites and programs.  A lot of its material is derived from Python, but it is slightly more powerful and object oriented.. It is user friendly and there are very many handbooks about how to use it.  It can be used both by businesses and people.
When speaking of the simplicity to use Matsumoto said:
“Often people, especially computer engineers, focus on the machines. But in fact we need to focus on humans, on how humans care about doing programming or operating the application of the machines.”

Who Made it:
It was developed in Japan by a man named Yukihiro Matsumoto. in the mid 1990s.
What type of Computers is it used on:
It is usually used in Maniframe computers.

Web Pages that Suck Project

CJ Greenstein
Topic-hard to read

For this one I chose three sites that I really thought were way too hard to read

Example Number 1:
http://www.gam-robert.com/

This site has spinning text and a distracting background, so I find it extremely hard to read.

Example Number 2:
http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/wpts1/

For this one the text disappears so you could guess it would be hard to read.

Example Number 3:

This is a screenshot, and it takes me awhile to figure out whats going on.

Artificial Parts

I thought that the artificial blood is the most impressive artificial part.  They have two types of artificial blood.  They have volume expanders which just increase the amount of natural blood in your system.  But they also have oxygen therapeutics which have the natural tendency to carry oxygen just like blood.  If doctors could actually develop a substitute for blood that would be incredible and revolutionary.

Vote for who did the best on the project

I think that Charlie Skolar did the best job on the project, because he actually built a computer that he decided would be good for his grandmother.  Because he customized it he was able to explain every specification with confidence and argue well for why it was a good computer for grandma.
